Fytagoras Seed Respiration Analyzer
The Fytagoras Seed Respiration Analyzer enables the automated measurement of individual seed respiration of large numbers of seeds at different temperatures. After the respiration measurement the non-invasive optical oxygen detection technology allows for further growth of the geminated seeds into seedlings. From these the evaluation of individual seedlings can be linked to the single seed respiration profile.
The picture shows the results of respiration measurement on individual soybean seeds. After the measurement the vials were opened for further growth of the germinated seeds in the test vials as shown in the photographs. The SRA test can be used for different purposes such as the determination of the basic quality (homogeneity) of a seed batch, determination of changes in seed properties after seed treatments, measurement of vigour related issues and parameter calculations in seed priming, etc.
